Authors Turning to Self Publish
eBook Publisher | 13 January, 2005 17:51
The movement is massive. It has to be one of the largest, un-measureable markets in America....
We're speaking of course of the ability to self publish, market and sell one's own content. That content can be anything from music, videos, print books or ebooks.
Of course here at the B2B eBook Conference, our primary mission is focused on ebooks, but we are expanding that to include self publishing of both print and digital books.
It has come to our attention that a
writers conference held in San Francisso, CA. has been announced.
If you are an author in waiting, you may want to spend the nickels to attend.
There will be panels, discussions, lectures and the always conference type of "networking".
Apparently there will be literary agents, representatives of publishing firms and other big wigs.
Which we think is great. Although anectdotal statistics indicate less than 1% of potential writers get signed by traditional publishers, this type of event can be a great learning experience. We try to provide such a virtual experience, but there is nothing like spending 2 to 3 days with professionals face-to-face, side-by-side.
If you decide to go, please
drop us a line to let us know how the event went!
