Second Job - Or Self Publish?
eBook Publisher | 30 January, 2005 20:40
Of course you could get a second job. With 40% of America needing to generate additional income, most people get a second job. Why do that when you could....
document your experience and publish your own book or ebook?
This
USAToday story is a great example of an entire generation of Baby Boomers who are starting their own businesses.
That's a lot of people aged 50 and older who are starting a business.
Our question: why not start an information publishing business?
By the time most people reach 50 years of age, they have some tremendous experiences, successes and failures.
A person could write a book on any of those three:
- Experience
- Successes
- Failures
Yes, failure affords even more opportunity to help other people. Think about it - you can teach people what
NOT to do. It might sound different, but let's be frank - you need to differentiate yourself if you are going to enter the info publishing business.
So it may be time for you or your company to take a good, solid inventory of what you know, what you are good at, what processes work and don't, what special skills do you have that are unique and more.
Put your head around that, get out the paper and write, write write and before you know it, you'll come up with an entire list of topics that you can write about, teach others and sell for a second income!
Get busy!
